When Clothes Have Two Undertones

So what should you do when an item has both warm and cool undertones?

Let’s use the culottes and shirt set below as an example.

Of course, the easiest option is to wear both pieces together as a matching set.

In this case, your skin tone will naturally bring out the undertone of the item that suits you best.

For me, as a Hair colour type, the coral pink undertone will stand out.

By pairing it strategically, I can create powerful outfits.

Vibrants are lucky as hey suit both Coral pink and Coral!

Coral however isn’t in Hair colour type’s or Eyes colour type's palette and that’s where Coco comes in handy!

We should focus on the Coral pink page in Coco and use the colours listed there to highlight and enhance the coral pink undertone.

Everything on that page complements and will elevate the coral pink—take eggplant, for example (as seen in my shirt pictured below).

Creatives would use their Coral coco page in coco to bring out the warm Coral undertone.

This approach ensures you’re not limited by colours outside your palette; instead, you’re leveraging them purposefully to suit you or at least suit each other.

Colour theory reigns supreme—it’s the key to bringing your outfits to life!
