How To Wear A Pleated Skirt
Pleated skirts are a forever classic that never dates but, of course, it only pops up in mainstream stores around every 3 years.
This makes them a "trend item" but as Bosses of our wardrobe, we know how to make this skirt work hard all year round.
My key tips:
Go an unusual feature colour that will allow you to play with colour theory in your wardrobe.
For a casual effortless look, style it with a plain cotton tee or a logo print tee.
Style it with an off the shoulder top. This will turn your goes-with-anything pleated skirt into a truly sexy ensemble.
Wear it with a button-down shirt. Tuck in the front leaving the back out (unless you are wearing a blazer or trench coat, then you can tuck all the way round).
Layer with a leather jacket in cool weather. A leather jacket is another classic piece that never dates making the two worn together a must!
Chuck on a blazer, especially an over sized masculine blazer with ankle boots.
Another amazing look is an oversized knit tucked in at the front with the back and sides eased out. Don't forget the street sneakers!
The pleated skirt is an all year round staple piece that will give you a burst of fun whenever you start to get itchy feet looking for " something more", or feeling like your wardrobe is lacking.
